Branson, Mo. ? The Silver Dollar City Attractions in Branson launch the 2012 season with new shows, new events, expanded festivals and new experiences at all properties, creating a destination of big fun for families this year. Silver Dollar City presents its biggest festival and show year ever, the Showboat Branson Belle launches two new shows Made in the USA, and White Water expands its popular night ride event.

Silver Dollar City Presents Biggest Festival & Show Year Ever!

New shows, new events and expanded festivals pack the season with new opportunities for families at Silver Dollar City, presenting its biggest festival and show year ever.

World-Fest kicks off with six new shows, including a showcase of Italian entertainment from the La Bella Musica music show to a ?Little Italy? plaza with acrobatic flag throwers. Also new are the Grammy-award winning Mariachi Divas, a Hawaiian Country Music show, a folk music and dance troupe from Peru, and Kenyan acrobats. Bluegrass & BBQ, the International Bluegrass Music Association?s reigning Bluegrass Event of the Year, adds more days and more bands for the biggest bluegrass festival yet. KidsFest features the new show LUMA, using high-tech illumination techniques, and Gazillion Bubbles, presenting incredible bubble artistry. A new Independence Day Celebration rocks July 4, Southern Gospel Picnic brings in top names plus new bands, and the all-new Country Music Weekend features country music stars Diamond Rio and Pam Tillis in concert September 8-9. A Western stunt show is new for the National Harvest Festival, also presenting the return of the Salute to the Great American Cowboy, and An Old Time Christmas presents an all-new original musical production of It?s A Wonderful Life.

Silver Dollar City features more than 30 rides and attractions, from high-flying roller coasters and thrill rides to a steam train and kids? play areas. Proclaimed the Home of American Craftsmanship by the U.S. Congress, the park showcases talented craftsmen demonstrating daily. The natural wonder Marvel Cave is open for underground tours, and the Culinary & Craft School offers cooking classes with savory sampling. Shops, restaurants and home-style food are all offered daily at the 1880s-style theme park in Branson, Missouri, open March 15 ? December 30.

Showboat Branson Belle Launches New Shows

The Showboat Branson Belle, America?s Most Entertaining Dinner Cruise, launches two new shows for the 2012 season. Made in the USA kicks off March 30, featuring Janice Martin, the world?s only violin-playing aerialist, and the male vocal group the ShowMen, in a new show celebrating all-American music. The show and a three-course meal are featured on all cruises aboard the authentic 700-seat paddlewheeler, which cruises Table Rock Lake March through December.

Martin, a world-class violinist, pianist and vocalist whose artistry has been heralded worldwide by The New York Times, Miami Herald and Washington Post, performs new selections, including an aerial act high above the stage as she plays the violin. The ShowMen, five talented male vocalists and dancers, fill the stage with a powerful blend of contemporary harmonies and standout solos, all accompanied by the Showboat?s signature live band Rockin? Dockers. Comedian and magician Christopher James is the ultra-sharp, uber-funny master of ceremonies.

Debuting in late May is an all-new Made in the USA show presented on noon and Sunday cruises, featuring master pianist Julie McClarey and talented fiddler Dean Church, plus the female quartet The ShowBelles, along with the Showboat?s live band The Castaways. Comedian David Hirschi, two-time Branson Comedian of the Year, emcees and performs.

Also new, the Showboat presents Cruising With The Classics featuring top names in Southern Gospel on noon cruises August 26 ? 31.

The menu from the Showboat?s chef includes slow simmered Beef Roast and Honey-Dijon Glazed Chicken, and the chef?s own Golden Brittle Lemon-Berry Torte, all prepared onboard in the ship?s galley. The Showboat Branson Belle cruises Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, March 30 through December 31.

Take a Tropical Island Adventure at White Water!

White Water, Mid-America?s Nearby Island Adventure, features 13 acres of tropical adventures including the highly-themed tropical river adventure, Aloha River at Hula Hula Bay. The park has nearly 7,000 feet of slides, more than a dozen rides and attractions and two million gallons of cool, water-filled fun ? and an expanded night ride event.

Rides range from mild to wild. For the thrill seekers, Kalani Towers is a 7-story, 6-slide, multi-experience thrill ride, with two 300-foot drop slides for free-fall body sliding and four additional 312-foot slides for lane racing. For the more relaxed adventurer, Aloha River is an 800-foot plus river, where tube riders cast off and float the calm waters in a setting of lush Polynesian jungles, with twists and turns, water features, fountains, misters, geysers and more. Additional attractions range from the double speed slide Raging River Rapids to the 500,000 gallon Surf?s Up wave pool and Splashaway Cay, an interactive family attraction with slides, pumps, geysers and a 700-gallon tipping bucket. Coconut Cove is a play area designed for smaller kids.

By popular request, White Water expands Night Water, with rides open until 10 p.m., on select nights July 5 ? August 11, adding more days to play into the night. White Water is open May 26 ? September 3.
